.NET Developer (Contract) – Internal/Admin Systems | Outside IR35 | Remote (UK)

We’re recruiting for a mid-level .NET Developer to join a small team building internal system administration tools for a data-driven platform.

This role is focused entirely on internal tooling (not customer-facing product), supporting operational teams with managing platform data, configuration, users, and integrations.

What you’ll be doing

• Building CRUD-based admin interfaces (create, update, manage platform data)
• Developing user management, roles, and access control features
• Working with platform configuration and structured datasets
• Integrating with external systems via APIs
• Delivering pragmatic, maintainable solutions within a small team

Tech requirements

• Strong experience with .NET and ASP.NET Core
• Solid SQL Server experience (writing queries, working with data models)
• Experience building APIs and system integrations
• Experience building internal tools, admin panels, or back-office systems is essential

This role is not suited to

• Frontend-only developers
• Engineers focused purely on greenfield product work
• Developers without hands-on data or API experience

Contract details

• 3-month initial contract
• Outside IR35
• £300/day
• Remote-first (UK-based), with occasional travel to Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire
• Immediate start preferred
