Snowflake Data Engineer at Be-IT, Greater Edinburgh Area, £500-£600 per day

Edinburgh hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 remote per week

Be-IT is seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to lead the migration of an existing AWS-based analytics platform to Snowflake. This is a hands-on role combining technical leadership, platform design and team mentoring.

What you’ll do:

• Migrate AWS Glue pipelines to dbt Core
• Design and build a Snowflake Lakehouse (RBAC, security, cost control)
• Support BAU enhancements alongside migration
• Define orchestration approach (Airflow, Dagster, etc.)
• Mentor internal engineers and ensure full knowledge transfer

What you bring:

• Proven Snowflake platform experience (architecture + delivery)
• Strong dbt Core and SQL skills
• Dimensional modelling (Kimball) expertise
• Experience with data platform migrations
• CI/CD, Git, and data quality frameworks

Nice to have: AWS (Lambda, Glue), Workato, Python/Snowpark
