TalentBank Technology is supporting an organisation within the professional services sector to engage an experienced SAP BTP Developer on an initial 6-month contract.

This role will play a key part in a broader SAP modernisation programme, including a transition to RISE with SAP and SAP Integration Suite. The successful consultant will focus on designing and building cloud-native integrations, extensions, and applications, while supporting a move toward clean core architecture.

This is a hands-on development role, ideal for someone with strong SAP BTP expertise who can deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build SAP BTP-based solutions, including integrations, extensions, and applications.
• Develop and maintain integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) across REST, SOAP, SFTP, and event-driven patterns.
• Build side-by-side extensions using CAP/RAP, Node.js, Java, and SAP Business Application Studio.
• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, improving usability and aligning with clean core principles.
• Support integration migration from Legacy platforms and contribute to testing, deployment, and go-live activities.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP development.
• Proven expertise in SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and integration design patterns.
• Experience building applications using CAP and/or RAP frameworks.
• Solid experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
• Understanding of clean core principles and SAP extensibility approaches.

Additional Experience

• Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with third-party systems.
• Knowledge of secure connectivity, authentication, and authorisation in BTP.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures or SAP Event Mesh.
• Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and fast-paced delivery environments.
