Role: Senior Shopify Engineer

Location: Remote / Hybrid (flexible)

Tech: Shopify Plus, Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, APIs

Contract: 6 months x Outside IR35

Are you interested in owning and building high-performing eCommerce experiences, not just maintaining them?

We’re working with a fast-growing digital commerce team delivering Shopify solutions for global brands. This is a hands-on contract where you’ll play a key role in shaping storefronts, improving performance, and building scalable Shopify ecosystems.

This isn’t a ticket factory role. You’ll be trusted to design, build, and influence how things are done.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and optimising Shopify storefronts (PDPs, category pages, landing pages)
• Developing and customising Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS
• Working across Shopify Plus environments, including Checkout UI Extensions and Functions
• Integrating third-party tools, apps, and APIs into the wider ecosystem
• Collaborating with product, design, and delivery teams to shape solutions end-to-end
• Driving best practices across code quality, performance, and scalability
• Contributing to technical decisions, architecture, and overall platform direction

What we’re looking for:

• Strong commercial experience building Shopify stores and themes
• Solid hands-on skills with Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS
• Experience working with Shopify Plus (or exposure to advanced Shopify features)
• Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, and third-party services
• Comfortable working in agile environments and owning delivery
• Someone who enjoys solving problems and improving how things are built
