Test Lead

Location: Central London/Hybrid (3 days per week on-site)
Outside IR35

We're working with a well-known retail organisation delivering a large-scale ecommerce transformation and are looking for an experienced Test Lead to play a key role in its success.

This is a hands-on Test Lead position, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping testing strategy while staying close to delivery. You'll take ownership of how testing is structured, managed, and executed across a complex ecommerce programme.

The Role:

• Define and own the end-to-end testing strategy
• Scope and structure testing streams across the project
• Lead and oversee end-to-end testing, including ecommerce transactions and integrations
• Work closely with multiple third-party suppliers, managing dependencies and unblocking issues
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure testing is well-aligned with wider delivery
• Identify gaps, maintain momentum, and help bring teams on the journey through delivery

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Test Lead within a retail environment (essential)
• Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms (Shopify experience highly desirable)
• Experience with system integrations and transactional ecommerce journeys
• Comfortable working in multi-vendor environments
• A hands-on, proactive approach with strong stakeholder management skills
• Someone who can keep people motivated, plug gaps, and bring clarity in complex delivery environments
