Python Engineer - AI/ML - LLM/OCR - 6 month contract - outside IR35

I am looking for a UK based Python Engineer to join a busy project driving digital registration automation for our client in Edinburgh. This role focuses on leveraging advanced AI and ML technologies to enhance the automation of land registration tasks.

You will take on a hands-on technical leadership role within an agile environment, contributing to the development of AI-driven solutions using OCR, Object Detection, and Large Language Models to automate various aspects of their document processing. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align new developments with existing systems, ensuring an integrated approach to the digital registration process.

• Develop system components for deed OCR and LLM analysis.
• Enhance automation services using AI technologies.
• Research and implement novel solutions to expand automation capabilities.
• Provide support for operational services and troubleshoot across multiple platforms.
• Actively participate and lead in team development activities and cooperative programming practices.

About you:

• Excellent skills with Python 3.9+ with a strong grasp of object-oriented programming and async/await patterns.
• Previous experience working on OCR, Object Detection and LLM analysis implementations would be a distinct advantage.
• Solid experience in AI/ML libraries such as Transformers/PyTorch, and object detection tools like OpenCV.
• Skilled in data processing with Pandas, NumPy, and database operations using SQLAlchemy.
• Experience in AWS services, including Lambda functions and S3 operations.
• Competence in API development using FastAPI and knowledge of authentication methods such as JWT.
