Opus is partnered with an early‑stage start‑up embarking on a true 0→1 platform build. They’re looking for a Contract Lead JavaScript Developer to take ownership of the architecture, define the tech stack, and build a high‑performing engineering team from the ground up.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role where you’ll shape the platform, influence product direction, and be central to discovery through to delivery.

🔍 What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading a full 0–1 build for a start‑up platform
• Defining and owning the JavaScript-based tech stack
• Architecting a scalable, cloud‑native system
• Hands‑on development across frontend & backend
• Playing a key role in the discovery phase, shaping technical decisions
• Driving best practices around architecture, testing, and delivery
• Hiring and mentoring engineers + surrounding skillsets as the platform scales
• Working closely with founders, product, and stakeholders

✅ Ideal Experience

• Senior / Lead JavaScript experience on greenfield builds
• Strong React + Node + TypeScript background
• Proven system architecture experience
• Comfortable operating in start‑up / fast‑moving environments
• Experience scaling teams or mentoring engineers
• Confident making technical decisions with long-term impact
