Data Business Analyst - 6 Month Contract (Outside IR35)
Location: London (2 days per week on-site)
Rate: £500 (Outside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to join a public sector organisation undergoing a large-scale data transformation, including the implementation of AI and automation across multiple divisions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping data products, improving data quality, and supporting strategic decision-making within a complex data environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document requirements for data products and technical data solutions
• Lead data mapping activities across data layers (source to bronze, silver, gold)
• Collaborate with SMEs to define and validate data mappings and transformations
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and data catalogues
• Support data lineage tracking and define data quality rules
• Contribute to conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling
• Mapping use cases

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst within complex data environments
• Strong data mapping expertise and hands-on approach (Excel and stakeholder collaboration)
• Experience with data governance concepts: metadata, lineage, cataloguing, and quality frameworks
• Solid understanding of data models (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Ability to work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders

Contract Details:

• 6-month initial contract
• Outside IR35
• Hybrid working: 2 days per week on-site in London
