Job Title: FP&A Consultant (Private Equity-Backed Business)

Location: 3 days a week on site in central London, 2 from home

Contract Type: Contract – 6 months - Outside IR35


About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded FP&A Consultant to support a fast-paced, Private Equity-backed business.


This role is critical in driving financial visibility, improving data integrity, and enabling strategic decision-making across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial planning & analysis within PE environments, with a particular emphasis on Power BI, data modelling, and Salesforce-driven insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives
  • Partner with commercial and sales teams to provide actionable insights on performance
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards to improve reporting transparency and accessibility
  • Extract, analyse, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources, including Salesforce
  • Drive improvements in data quality, governance, and reporting automation
  • Support board and investor reporting, including variance analysis and KPI tracking
  • Provide scenario analysis to support growth strategy, pricing, and investment decisions
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence business performance and outcome


Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in FP&A within a Private Equity-backed or high-growth environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (dashboard development, DAX, data visualisation best practices)
  • Strong data manipulation and modelling skills (Excel, SQL preferred)
  • Hands-on experience working with Salesforce data (reporting, pipeline analysis, revenue forecasting)
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
