Job Title: FP&A Consultant (Private Equity-Backed Business)
Location: 3 days a week on site in central London, 2 from home
Contract Type: Contract – 6 months - Outside IR35
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded FP&A Consultant to support a fast-paced, Private Equity-backed business.
This role is critical in driving financial visibility, improving data integrity, and enabling strategic decision-making across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial planning & analysis within PE environments, with a particular emphasis on Power BI, data modelling, and Salesforce-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives
- Partner with commercial and sales teams to provide actionable insights on performance
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards to improve reporting transparency and accessibility
- Extract, analyse, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources, including Salesforce
- Drive improvements in data quality, governance, and reporting automation
- Support board and investor reporting, including variance analysis and KPI tracking
- Provide scenario analysis to support growth strategy, pricing, and investment decisions
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence business performance and outcome
Key Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in FP&A within a Private Equity-backed or high-growth environment
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (dashboard development, DAX, data visualisation best practices)
- Strong data manipulation and modelling skills (Excel, SQL preferred)
- Hands-on experience working with Salesforce data (reporting, pipeline analysis, revenue forecasting)
- Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights
- Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple systems
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
