Senior Android Engineer Contract - Outside IR35

Hybrid role in London (ideally 2/3 days on site), 6 months initial engagement

We’re partnered with a fast-growing, product-led fintech business and they are looking to find Senior Android Engineers to join their mobile team.

You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality features, shape architecture, and scale a modern Android platform used by thousands daily.

What you’ll be doing:

• Build and enhance features in a consumer-facing Android app

• Work closely with product, design, backend, and QA

• Drive performance, scalability, and code quality

• Address technical debt and influence architecture

• Contribute to testing, reviews, and releases

Tech stack:

• Kotlin

• Jetpack Compose

• MVVM (with exposure to MVI)

• Coroutines (async handling)

• GraphQL (Apollo)

• Modular architecture

What they’re looking for:

• Strong commercial experience with Kotlin

• Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android tooling

• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns

• Background building high-traffic consumer apps

• Comfortable working autonomously and making technical decisions

• Experience with Git & CI/CD (e.g. CircleCI)
