A leading Manchester client seeks a Platform Resilience Engineer to join their transformation program focused on resilience assurance and platform enablement. Key tasks include validating the BIA register, mapping service dependencies, and performing failure mode analysis—essential for the resilience framework and early approvals. In platform enablement, the role covers storage tiering, capacity monitoring, observability setup, and CI/CD support for data platform operations, ensuring consistent results.


Key skills and responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and finalise the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) register.
  • Identify and document dependencies across critical services and supporting infrastructure.
  • Carry out failure mode analysis and record key findings and risks.
  • Present resilience documentation for stakeholder review and secure formal approval.
  • Establish and implement hot/warm/cold data classification and transition rules to support data residency requirements.
  • Configure and apply storage tiering policies within the platform.
  • Establish a baseline for capacity visibility and monitoring, including metrics, dashboards, and alert thresholds.
  • Define capacity limits and scaling risk indicators to support proactive management.
  • Provide support to CI/CD delivery teams where required
