Seniorr VMware (VCF) Support Engineer - Contract - Outside IR35 (part time+)
Senior-level VMware specialist providing on-demand, remote support to global enterprise clients running VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). This is not a full-time project role-it's part of the clients flexible support model, where you engage as needed to resolve complex, business-critical issues.
What you'll do
- Act as an escalation SME across VCF (vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, Aria Suite)
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity issues across compute, storage, and network layers
- Support lifecycle activities (patching, upgrades, domain management via SDDC Manager)
- Provide root cause analysis, fixes, and best-practice guidance to enterprise clients
- Work directly with customer SMEs to stabilise and optimise environments
Delivery model:
- On-demand / part-time: typically up to ~20 hours per week, scaling with demand
- Fully remote: can be delivered from any location
- On-call element: support a 24/7 environment with occasional out-of-hours response
- High-impact work: focused on complex problem-solving rather than day-to-day admin

Experience needed
- 10+ years VMware experience, including deep VCF expertise
- Strong hands-on across vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, and VCF architecture
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex, multi-layer issues
- Experience in enterprise support / escalation environments
