Engineering Manager (C#) - £700-750 per day - London

We're working with a leading Insuretech company that are looking for an Engineering Manager to join them for an initial 6-month contract. This person will be tasked wutg leading engineering teams by combining strong delivery management with hands-on technical leadership and stakeholder management.

This role will fall OUTSIDE IR35 and will require travel to their City of London based office twice per week.

Skills & Experience Required

- Strong background as a senior engineer, architect, or technical lead with demonstrable delivery experience.

- Ability to apply algorithmic thinking and structured problem solving to real-world engineering challenges.

- Proven experience leading engineering teams with hands-on involvement in delivery and architecture.

- Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex technical topics clearly in both written and verbal form.

- Track record of establishing and improving engineering standards and technical practices.

- Experience in agile software delivery with clear accountability for sprint outcomes, technical quality, and stakeholder engagement.

- Strong background in resource/capacity management and delivery ownership.

- Experience writing executive updates and technical summaries for senior stakeholders.

- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, automation, observability, and DevOps maturity models.

- Evidence of driving adoption of new tools, frameworks, or processes across multiple teams.

- CI/CD & DevOps: Azure DevOps pipelines, SonarCloud, Github

- Architecture & Patterns: Microservices, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, modern scalable design principles
