The role

Our client, a leading insurance brokerage is scaling its data platform and needs a Snowflake specialist who thinks in infrastructure - not just queries. This is a hands-on contract role Embedded in the infra delivery team, where you'll be building and automating the foundations that everyone else depends on.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and implementing RBAC frameworks - roles, grants, and privilege models that actually make sense at scale
• Deploying and managing Snowflake database objects (warehouses, databases, schemas, stages) entirely through Terraform
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate Snowflake deployments end-to-end
• Collaborating with data and security teams to ensure governance and auditability meet regulatory requirements
• Owning the infrastructure-as-code approach - no manual clicks, everything version-controlled
• Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake at an infrastructure level - RBAC, resource monitors, network policies
• Strong Terraform skills - modules, state management, remote backends, not just basic resources
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Financial services or regulated industry background a strong advantage
• Comfortable working at pace in a delivery-focused team
