About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint / Microsoft 365 Application Developer to join our client’s dynamic team in Bristol. This is an initial three-month contract position with a high likelihood of extension, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant digital transformation initiatives. The role is outside IR35, providing flexibility and clarity on contractual arrangements. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint Online solutions, ensuring seamless integration within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This position requires a proactive individual capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, delivering innovative solutions that align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SharePoint Online development, with proven experience in building and configuring enterprise-level solutions. Proficiency in modern development frameworks such as SPFx, TypeScript, and React is essential. A deep understanding of the Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, is required to create integrated and automated workflows. Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API and REST APIs will be advantageous. Candidates should also have solid knowledge of Azure Active Directory, permissions, identity management, and security best practices. Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365 development or related areas will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role include designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, and workflows to support business processes. Building custom solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and PowerShell to automate tasks and enhance user experience is a core aspect of the role. Developing modern SharePoint components utilizing SPFx, ensuring compatibility and performance, is vital. The developer will also be tasked with integrating various Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, and Exchange Online to create a cohesive digital workspace. Content migration from legacy systems into SharePoint Online, creating reusable templates, and establishing governance-aligned solutions are also key responsibilities. Troubleshooting issues, providing technical support, and ensuring all solutions adhere to security, compliance, and best practice guidelines are ongoing activities within this role.
