About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced SharePoint / Microsoft 365 Application Developer to join our client’s dynamic team in Bristol. This is a contract position initially lasting three months, with a high likelihood of extension, and is classified outside IR35. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint Online solutions and integrating various Microsoft 365 services. This role demands a hands-on approach, requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive mindset to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical skills and practical experience, including:

  • Proven experience in SharePoint Online development, configuration, and administration.
  • Expertise in SPFx, TypeScript, React, and modern SharePoint development practices.
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform components such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Graph API and REST APIs for seamless integrations.
  • Solid knowledge of Azure Active Directory, permissions management, and identity solutions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 governance, security protocols, and compliance standards.

Additional desirable skills include experience with SharePoint migrations, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Teams app development, and familiarity with DevOps pipelines for SPFx deployment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, and workflows that meet organizational needs.
  • Building custom solutions utilizing Power Apps, Power Automate, and PowerShell scripting to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Developing modern SharePoint components using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), ensuring they are scalable, reusable, and aligned with best practices.
  • Integrating Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, and Exchange Online to create cohesive digital workflows.
  • Managing content migration from legacy SharePoint environments or traditional file systems into SharePoint Online, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
  • Creating reusable templates, components, and governance-aligned solutions to streamline future development efforts.
  • Providing troubleshooting support and resolving issues across SharePoint and Microsoft 365 applications promptly.
  • Ensuring all solutions comply with security, governance, and compliance guidelines, maintaining organizational standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, advise on best practices, and suggest improvements to existing systems.
