About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced SharePoint / Microsoft 365 Application Developer to join our client’s dynamic team in Bristol. This is a contract position initially lasting three months, with a high likelihood of extension, and is classified outside IR35. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint Online solutions and integrating various Microsoft 365 services. This role demands a hands-on approach, requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment. - Expertise in SPFx, TypeScript, React, and modern SharePoint development practices.
- Strong understanding of Power Platform components such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience working with Microsoft Graph API and REST APIs for seamless integrations.
- Solid knowledge of Azure Active Directory, permissions management, and identity solutions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 governance, security protocols, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, and workflows that meet organizational needs.
- Building custom solutions utilizing Power Apps, Power Automate, and PowerShell scripting to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Developing modern SharePoint components using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), ensuring they are scalable, reusable, and aligned with best practices.
- Integrating Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, and Exchange Online to create cohesive digital workflows.
- Managing content migration from legacy SharePoint environments or traditional file systems into SharePoint Online, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
- Creating reusable templates, components, and governance-aligned solutions to streamline future development efforts.
- Providing troubleshooting support and resolving issues across SharePoint and Microsoft 365 applications promptly.
- Ensuring all solutions comply with security, governance, and compliance guidelines, maintaining organizational standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, advise on best practices, and suggest improvements to existing systems.
