AWS DevOps Engineer | £600 - £635

We're working with a leading specialist technical consultancy delivering high-impact digital transformation for the UK's most critical public sector projects on this exciting opportunity.

We are seeking a heavyweight AWS DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of cloud infrastructure and testing lifecycles within a secure government environment. This is a high-autonomy role where you will leverage Kubernetes, Terraform, and advanced CI/CD patterns to build resilient, scalable public sector services from the ground up.

The Role

  • Lead the design and implementation of highly secure AWS cloud architecture spanning compute, storage, and networking.
  • Deliver robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure repeatable, audited environments.
  • Build and orchestrate containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes to drive service efficiency.
  • Architect and maintain sophisticated CI/CD pipelines across platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
  • Implement high-level monitoring and observability suites using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stacks to ensure 24/7 reliability.

What You'll Need

  • Current active SC Clearance is essential; candidate must be a Sole British National due to the sensitive nature of the public sector projects.
  • 5-10+ years of deep experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering with a mastery of AWS environments.
  • Expert-level Testing Experience: You must have the ability to architect, set up, and own the entire testing process from end-to-end.
  • Hands-on proficiency with DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, and OWASP to bake security into the heart of the SDLC.
  • Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and mentoring engineering teams in modern cloud-native practices.
