A market-leading European real estate and logistics giant, managing one of the largest industrial portfolios in the world, is seeking a Jira Developer. Operating as a critical link in the global supply chain, this firm is currently undergoing a massive digital transformation and needs an expert to architect a standardized, world-class internal service framework.

The Jira Developer's role: This is a high-impact, 3–6 month contract where you will lead the ground-up overhaul of their Jira environment. The current setup lacks a consistent framework; you will be the architect and builder responsible for tearing down the ad-hoc structures and replacing them with a professional Service Catalogue. You won’t just be maintaining tickets—you’ll be defining the very DNA of how this global business handles Incident, Change, and Release management.

Jira Developer Key Responsibilities:

• Greenfield Project Creation: Design and deploy brand-new Jira projects that align with global business requirements.
• Service Catalogue Architecture: Build a comprehensive Service Catalogue from scratch, utilizing TDM (Taxonomy Data Model) to ensure industry-standard data organization.
• ITSM Workflow Design: Define and implement robust, high-logic workflows for Incident, Change, Request, and Release Management.
• Framework Standardization: Overhaul the existing ad-hoc environment to establish a consistent, scalable framework across the organization.
• Release Management: Ensure the platform effectively supports software and service releases in conjunction with broader IT goals.
• Stakeholder Guidance: Act as the subject matter expert, guiding the business on best practices while executing the technical build.

Jira Developer Requirements:

• Proven Jira Development Expert: Extensive experience in JSM (Jira Service Management) with a track record of building complex service desks.
• Strong Taxonomy Knowledge: Familiarity with TDM Taxonomy or similar structured data models is highly desirable.
• ITSM Process Mastery: Deep understanding of Incident, Change, and Request management life cycles.
• Execution-Focused: Ability to walk into a no-framework environment and independently build structure without needing a roadmap provided for you.
• Excellent Communicator: Comfortable working 3 days a week on-site in a collaborative London office, engaging with stakeholders to define requirements.
• Pragmatic Approach: You prioritize clean, usable workflows over over-engineered complexity.
