About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cyber Security Contractor to join our client’s team on a 3-month contract basis, with the potential for extension. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization’s security operations and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the internal Security team to enhance cyber resilience, implement security controls, and ensure adherence to UK standards. The position offers a hybrid working model based in London, requiring 2-3 days in the office per week. The contractor will be responsible for managing critical security tools, responding to security incidents, and assisting with compliance audits, including ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a hands-on security professional to contribute to a rapidly growing organization and develop their expertise within a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing and implementing cybersecurity projects from start to finish.
- Demonstrable success in achieving Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
- Hands-on experience with CyberArk deployment, configuration, and ongoing administration.
- Extensive knowledge of Netskope, including deployment and global roll-out.
- Solid working knowledge of Mimecast email security solutions.
- Exposure to Microsoft Purview and data governance tools.
- Understanding of ISO 27001 standards and their application in organizational settings.
- Strong familiarity with UK cybersecurity regulations and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and actively monitor security controls across email, endpoint, and cloud environments to safeguard organizational assets.
- Respond promptly to security incidents using advanced threat detection tools, conducting thorough investigations and remediation.
- Assist with compliance activities, including preparing for and supporting audits for ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications.
- Provide technical expertise on security best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and security architecture design.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure configurations, data protection, and adherence to security policies.
- Respond to security-related Due Diligence Questions (DDQs) from clients and stakeholders.
- Configure and administer Mimecast, Netskope, and CyberArk solutions to ensure optimal security posture.
- Participate in security awareness initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to inform security strategies.
