Overview

A leading digital consultancy is seeking an experienced Product Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale transformation programme within a major UK public sector healthcare organisation, including work aligned to the National Health Service.

This programme focuses on the development of a new end-to-end digital platform, transforming the patient journey from referral through to appointment. The aim is to improve access, streamline pathways, and enhance the overall patient and clinician experience.


The Role

As Product Manager, you will take ownership of key product components within a complex, multi-supplier environment. You will be responsible for shaping product vision, managing backlogs, and ensuring delivery of user-centred, high-quality digital services.

Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will collaborate closely with delivery managers, business analysts, designers, and engineers to drive outcomes aligned to both user needs and organisational priorities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and priorities
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment to programme goals
  • Work closely with stakeholders across clinical, operational, and digital teams
  • Lead discovery and validation activities to ensure solutions meet user needs
  • Deliver products aligned to GDS standards and service assessments
  • Make data-driven decisions to optimise product performance and outcomes
  • Manage dependencies across suppliers and workstreams


Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager within the UK public sector
  • Strong understanding of Government Digital Service (GDS) principles and delivery lifecycle
  • Experience delivering complex digital platforms or services at scale
  • Ability to operate effectively in multi-stakeholder, multi-supplier environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams


Desirable Experience

  • Experience within the **National Health Service or wider healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of referral-to-treatment (RTT) pathways or patient access systems
  • Experience working on patient-facing digital services or platforms
