Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation across network infrastructure, security, and application environments, who is comfortable working with both modern and Legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support network circuits and infrastructure
• Ensure network security best practices are applied and maintained
• Work closely with application teams to support connectivity and performance requirements
• Manage and maintain Legacy hardware environments
• Plan and execute the migration of hardware and applications between data centres
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions
• Providing technical leadership for teams carrying out low level design and implementation
• Organising the provision of appropriate allocations (VLANs, IP, Subnets, Security Zones) and effective record keeping of the same

Key Skills & Experience:

• On Prem Data Centre Networking: Cisco Nexus 9000 (NIXOS & ACI)
• Firewalls: (Fortigate & Juniper)
• F5 Load Balancing (LTM & GTM)
• Cisco Routers
• Proven experience working with Legacy hardware and systems
• Hands-on experience with data centre migrations (hardware and applications)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment

Familiarity with:

• MLPS-IPVPN (Nokia & Cisco)
• VMWare Networking
• Avamar Backup
• Cloud Networking
