About The Role
We are seeking a skilled UX Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design of customer self-service portals and agent-facing platforms within an agile environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating intuitive wireframes, facilitating collaborative design workshops, and working closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and developers. The UX Designer will play a key role in ensuring that all solutions are user-centric, aligned with business goals, and delivered with a high standard of quality.
The position involves active participation in sprint ceremonies, iterative design improvements, and user testing phases. The UX Designer will lead efforts to gather and incorporate user feedback, document design decisions, and secure stakeholder approval at various project milestones. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex deliverables effectively.
Qualifications
This contract role offers a competitive daily rate of 450 - 475 outside IR35, with flexible working arrangements including once a week in the North West office. Qualifications
- Proven experience as a UX Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions.
- Experience working within agile development environments and participating in sprint cycles.
- Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of usability testing methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive designs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus but not mandatory.
- Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field preferred.
- Design and develop wireframes, prototypes, and user interface mockups for customer self-service portals and agent-facing platforms.
- Facilitate design workshops and collaborate closely with product teams to gather requirements and define user journeys.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure design alignment with project goals.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design concepts and improve user experience.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to refine designs iteratively.
- Document design decisions, user flows, and specifications to ensure clarity and consistency across projects.
- Lead user testing sessions, analyze results, and implement improvements based on findings.
- Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and user interfaces.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in UX design to continually enhance the quality of deliverables.
