About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PLM Process & Digital Thread Lead to join a major PLM360 transformation programme. This role is central to aligning business processes, future PLM capabilities, and the wider Digital Thread vision across a global, multi-functional environment.

Sitting at the intersection of process definition, architecture, data flow governance, and project execution, you will support SMEs and Process Use Case Leads in building future-ready Ways of Working (WoW). You'll play a critical part in shaping end-to-end processes, managing product data flows, and ensuring consistency across engineering, operations, configuration, and supply chain.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical capability, deep understanding of product information flows, and confidence working across complex global structures.

Key Responsibilities

Future Processes

  • Investigate and evaluate current Ways of Working across relevant business units.
  • Learn, analyse, and interpret PLM360's future Ways of Working.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimisation.
  • Conduct detailed 'as is' vs 'future state' difference analysis.
  • Define Business Unit process requirements for the future PLM landscape.
  • Support change impact analysis to enable smooth adoption across teams.
  • Work closely with SMEs and Process Use Case Leads to align expectations and outputs.
  • Contribute to tool configuration and workflow design from a process perspective.

Digital Thread

  • Own and maintain the Product Data Flow materials throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Identify and resolve emerging silos across teams and processes.
  • Maintain visibility and consistency across end-to-end information flows.
  • Potentially act as custodian of the future Information Model.
  • Provide architectural insights, recommendations, and scenario analysis.
  • Help teams understand architectural decisions, impacts, and strategies.
  • Act as a connection point between PLM360 and related PLM tools or programmes.
  • Champion the Digital Thread vision across engineering, operations, configuration, and supply chain.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes or PLM systems.
  • Proven capability in mapping, analysing, and redesigning business processes.
  • Experience managing complex product data or working with enterprise architecture concepts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence without direct authority.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex technical topics.
  • Experience with PLM platforms (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter).
  • Exposure to Digital Thread or model-based engineering initiatives.
  • Background in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or configuration management.
  • Experience in large-scale transformation or digital programmes.
  • Highly proactive, collaborative, and structured in approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and passion for process excellence.
