Are you a hands-on software engineer who wants to own APIs end-to-end and shape how large-scale platforms are built and operated? We’re looking for a .NET Developer or a software engineer within a Microsoft stack on a contract basis. This is an initial 5 month contract, that is very likely to be extended as this business is continuing to add new programmes.

The client is looking for a UK-based, fully remote .Net software engineer who goes beyond traditional backend development. Someone who thinks like a product owner, builds with purpose, and takes full accountability for API delivery and performance.


The successful .Net Software Engineer will take ownership of the full API lifecycle:

🔧 API Design & Development

  • Design APIs aligned to domain data models and platform standards. Build REST and event-driven APIs using .NET and C#

🚀 Platform Enablement

  • Leverage CI/CD pipelines, templates and reference architectures

🤝 Collaboration & Governance

  • Work closely with QA, platform teams and product owners

⚡ Agile Delivery

  • Deliver iteratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Balance speed with compliance and autonomy with platform standards


The successful .Net Software Engineer must have worked in a Microsoft .Net & Azure environment. Ideally having software development experience across C#, .NET, Azure, Azure API Management, REST APIs, CI/CD.

You must be able to demonstrate

  • Strong experience as a software engineer building APIs in .NET/C#
  • Proven experience with Azure and cloud-native development
  • Solid understanding of API design (REST + event-driven)
  • Ideally has experience working in a remote capacity.
