- Develop complex data models using Power Query (M) and DAX to integrate data from ERP, SQL databases, and Excel-based site systems.
- Automate executive-level portfolio reporting and monthly board packs, reducing manual data handling and increasing reporting velocity.
- Monitor project margins, SPI/CPI performance, and resource utilization to provide actionable insights for Project Managers and Commercial Directors.
- Optimize report performance and manage data refresh processes within the Power BI Service environment to ensure 24/7 data availability.
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of dedicated Power BI development experience specifically within the Construction, Rail, or Civil Engineering sectors.
- Expert-level proficiency in DAX measures, Power Query (M language), and writing complex SQL queries for relational databases.
- Deep understanding of Project Controls principles, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and NEC/JCT contract commercial structures.
- Proven ability to translate engineering, plant, and labor data into intuitive, high-performance visual dashboards.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to interpret requirements from both technical site teams and C-suite executives.
What's On Offer
- Highly competitive daily rate of £500 - £600 (Outside IR35).
- Fully remote working flexibility, allowing for a great work-life balance.
- The opportunity to influence data strategy on high-profile national infrastructure and rail projects.
- Long-term contract potential within a high-growth digital transformation team.
