Murex Support Specialist – Strategic Production & Business Partnering

Location – London - 3 days office – 2 days remote

Tenure – 6-month rolling contract

Day rate - £550 outside IR35

We’re looking for an experienced Murex expert to play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and high performance of trading and risk platforms.

In this position, you’ll act as the organisation’s Murex authority, resolving complex issues, supporting critical business functions, and driving continuous improvement across our environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serve as the primary escalation point for all Murex-related incidents, requests, and queries, delivering fast and effective resolutions in line with strict SLAs.
• Diagnose and resolve sophisticated technical and functional challenges across multiple Murex components (Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Datamart, and more).
• Maintain ongoing oversight of platform health, conduct deep-dive root-cause analysis, and proactively surface risks before they impact operations.
• Partner closely with trading, sales, risk, and operations teams to understand business needs and support their day-to-day activities.
• Keep all support documentation up to date, including runbooks, knowledge bases, and operational guides.
• Support release cycles by validating new versions, enhancements, and patches to ensure smooth deployment.
• Help enhance support processes through automation, improved monitoring, and best‑practice workflows.
• Maintain a strong sense of ownership, prioritising urgent matters and ensuring status updates are consistently reflected on issue trackers.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and business stakeholders.

You’ll act as a trusted senior technical advisor to the business, shaping solutions, setting best practices, and championing long‑term platform stability. You’ll also ensure expectations are well‑managed while driving a sense of urgency around time‑critical issues.

Key Focus Areas

• Supporting Global Markets and Commodities business lines within Murex.
• Managing market data processes (real‑time feeds, end-of-day pricing, and asset contributions).
• Delivering risk reporting (scenario analysis, strike maps, and related outputs).
• Providing valuation and market‑data‑related reporting for support functions.
