Scrum Master:

• Rate: £400-£600 per day (Outside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a banking institution and support agile delivery across technology teams. This role will work closely with Front End teams and key stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery, strong collaboration, and effective agile practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
• Support Front End engineering teams in delivering work efficiently, collaboratively, and to agreed quality standards.
• Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and help teams stay focused on priorities and delivery goals.
• Work closely with Product Owners, engineers, and wider stakeholders to maintain alignment on scope, outcomes, and timelines.
• Promote continuous improvement, coaching teams on best practice and effective agile ways of working.
• Track and communicate delivery progress using appropriate agile metrics (for example velocity, burn-down/up, flow metrics) and provide clear updates to stakeholders.
• Encourage a healthy team culture, psychological safety, and constructive collaboration across technical and non-technical groups.

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master within banking, financial services, or a similarly regulated environment.
• Strong technical literacy with the ability to engage confidently with Front End engineering teams (for example modern web technologies, APIs, CI/CD concepts).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of agile principles, Scrum methodologies, and practical delivery in a scaled environment.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to build trust across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience identifying and resolving delivery risks, impediments, and process bottlenecks.

Desirable:

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) and experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
