Tester/Test Analyst at Morson Edge, North Yorkshire, £400-£425 per day

Job Title: Oracle Test Engineer (Contract)
Location: Remote (Client based in North Yorkshire)
Contract Length: Initial 3 months
Rate: £425 per day (Outside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Test Engineer to join a client project on an initial 3-month contract. This is a fully remote role supporting a North Yorkshire-based client, focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of Oracle-based solutions through comprehensive testing practices.

• Perform end-to-end testing of Oracle-based systems and solutions

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for manual and integration testing

• Conduct API testing to validate system integrations and data flows

• Identify, log, and track defects using Jira, ensuring clear documentation and follow-up

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage

• Support system integration testing across multiple platforms and services

• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies

• Strong experience testing Oracle solutions and environments

• Proven background in manual testing and integration testing

• Hands-on experience with API testing (eg, REST/SOAP services)

• Proficiency in using Jira for defect tracking and test management

• Solid understanding of software testing life cycle and best practices

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments

• Familiarity with test automation tools (beneficial but not essential)

• Previous experience in large-scale enterprise systems
