Technical Assurance Lead – 21 Month Contract - Outside IR35 at Anson Mccade, Multiple Locations, £Contract Rate

We are seeking a senior Technical Assurance Lead to act as an independent critical friend across a large transformation programme.

This role provides structured technical, estimation, and design assurance, ensuring supplier outputs (story sizing, architecture, and Key Design Decisions) are sound, cost-effective, and aligned to programme objectives.

Challenge and validate supplier estimates

Review technical designs and KDDs

Define and embed design quality gates

Support commercial inputs (SoWs, change requests, releases)

Ensure cross-programme architectural alignment

Produce monthly assurance reports and risk summaries

Strong technical architecture and integration background

Experience with agile estimation and story sizing

Ability to translate technical risk into business impact

Experience in governance-heavy transformation environments
