A fintech company based in London is looking for a Senior Python Developer on an initial 3-month contract, with potential to extend.

About the Role

This is a sole-contributor role; you'll be the only developer on the project, so the ability to move fast and make good independent decisions is essential. The client is open to fully remote working, with monthly visits to the Hammersmith office when required.

Responsibilities

• Building and delivering a Python based project end-to-end, working independently with minimal oversight.
• Integrating with exchange APIs and external data sources.
• Leveraging AI tooling, specifically Claude Code, to accelerate delivery and maintain quality as a team of one.

Qualifications

Must-haves

• Python 3.10+ with strong professional experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver at pace, this is a sole-contributor engagement.
• Experience integrating with exchange or trading APIs.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude Code experience or strong interest specifically called out by the client).

Nice-to-haves

• Fintech or trading domain knowledge.
• Experience delivering projects under tight timelines as an individual contributor.

Pay range and compensation package

Rate: Up to £500 per day

Duration: 3 months initial, extension possible
