Contract IT Manager at Technify Talent Limited, Reading, £500 to £600 per Day

Role: Contract IT Manager / Head of IT (OUTSIDE IR35)

Length: 6 to 9 Month Contract

Location: Hybrid in Reading (1-2 days onsite)

Day Rate: £500 to £600 per day

The Role

Technify Talent is partnering with a leading technology business based in Reading to hire a Contract IT Manager / Head of IT on a 6 to 9 month initial contract (Outside IR35).

This is a hands on leadership role, overseeing a small IT Team (3 Linux Systems Engineers and 1 Infrastructure Lead) while driving the business’s IT transformation journey.

The business’s infrastructure is primarily on-premise, with plans to transition to the cloud to support growth, improve scalability, and enhance operational scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee daily IT operations, manage team of 4, ensure secure network and data systems
  
• IT Transformation: Lead initiatives aligning IT with business goals, identify process improvements
  
• Cybersecurity / ISO: Identify risks, lead ISO/IEC 27001/27002 compliance, conduct audits
  
• Disaster Recovery: Develop, maintain, and test backup and recovery plans
  

Required Skills

• 
  
• Proven experience as IT Manager / Head of IT or similar
  
• Strong leadership with ability to drive change
  
• Hands-on experience with Linux servers and physical infrastructure
  
• Experience in O365 Administration and Windows Support
  
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and migration strategies
  
• Background in designing and implementing IT systems
