Solution Engineer - London - FINTECH - Contract outside IR35 up to £900/day depending on experience at Adaptive Financial Consulting Ltd, Multiple Locations, £Contract Rate

We are now looking for Solution Engineer services for an initial 6 month contract.

Skills Required:

• Exceptional technical skills and able to solve complex problems as part of a team
• Experience building solutions in the capital markets domain
• Able to build strong relationships easily with Adaptive team and end clients
• Able to think strategically and communicate concepts clearly to others

Services Description:

• Ensure the success and technical excellence of solutions delivered to Adaptive's clients:
  • Through individual contribution to the codebase on the most challenging aspects of a Delivery
  • Ensuring the output quality of the team you work meets the standards within Adaptive
  • Through the application of best practices within design and development (e.g. separation of concerns)
  • Through the advocacy of testing approaches (e.g. behaviour driven testing)
  • By helping to define and facilitate the adoption of standards within teams
  • Through the definition of performant and resilient architecture, and detailed design informed by the domain and client need
• Be expected to advocate for technical decisions to the Adaptive team, end clients and other stakeholders
• Enable the team to properly adhere to software development lifecycle processes
• Be able to work with Adaptive leadership to ensure that delivered work meets time, budget and possible constraints
• Be comfortable escalating and articulating risks to Adaptive team members, management and clients

The Individual will need :

• Strong communication skills
• Significant, professional experience within capital markets, developing software solutions using Java in a highly performant, low latency manner
• Experience using Aeron in a high-performance scenario within capital markets or digital assets
• Familiarity with appropriate data structures and their usages (e.g. sets, maps and queues)
• Relevant experience in building solutions within these domains:

  • Trading Venues & Exchanges
  • Matching Engines
  • Algo Containers
  • Risk Management
  • FIX Gateways
• Experienced in working within an Agile environment and following a mature SDLC.
• Distributed Systems and Consensus Algorithms
• Event-driven architecture
• Replicated State Machines

2- An interview with our technology leadership team, involving questions and a design exercise focused on your technology knowledge and your experiences with designing and delivering capital markets solutions, as well as your approach to leadership.
3- A final meeting with our executive leadership team
