Contract React Native Engineer at FitXR, UK, 8 Weeks, £Contract Rate

We’re looking for a contract React Native Engineer to work with us on a new generative workout project for 8 weeks (outside IR35) to cover some leave in the team.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship features in React Native with Expo for both iOS and Android

• Implement high-fidelity mobile UI from design specifications and collaborate with designers

• Work closely with other frontend and backend engineers, particularly around integration points between mobile and VR systems

• Contribute to planning and technical discussions for upcoming features

Required Experience

• Strong React Native development experience

• Good knowledge of Expo and Typescript

• Proven ability to implement UI from design specs

• Experience working within existing production codebases

• Effective working remotely and cross-functionally with designers and engineers

Nice to Have

• Experience with fitness, health, or consumer mobile apps

• Native mobile experience (Swift and/or Kotlin)

• Broader front-end experience across web and mobile

• Experience working with synchronised audio and video in mobile apps
