Location: Birchwood Park, Cheshire (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week, mandatory)

Contract Type: Contract - Outside IR35

Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Cyber Transformation Lead to support a major organisation within a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior cyber leadership to help accelerate strategic cyber security transformation initiatives across the organisation.

This role will support the Deputy CISO and the Cyber Security & Information Assurance function, focusing on strengthening cyber governance, policies, standards, and organisational security maturity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted internal cyber security advisor aligned with organisational strategy and objectives.

  • Lead and coordinate the resolution of complex or high- profile cyber security issues , ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Develop, refresh, and embed cyber security policies, standards, and procedures , while monitoring adoption and compliance.

  • Provide portfolio oversight , including RAG reporting and escalation of strategic misalignments.

  • Conduct cyber security horizon scanning and deliver leadership briefings outlining risks, opportunities, and recommendations.

  • Support cyber security culture and awareness initiatives across the organisation.

  • Assist in establishing cyber profession standards in collaboration with HR and Learning & Development teams.

  • Contribute to cyber assurance activities and senior- level incident readiness planning.

  • Ensure alignment with statutory and regulatory obligations including General Data Protection Regulation ( GDPR) and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading cyber security transformation or cyber strategy programmes.

  • Strong background in cyber governance, policies, standards, and risk management.

  • Experience working with senior cyber leadership such as CISO or Deputy CISO teams.

  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate complex cyber issues clearly.

  • Experience delivering cyber security portfolio oversight and strategic reporting.

  • Knowledge of cyber regulatory frameworks and compliance environments
