Technical Delivery Lead – 6-Month Contract (Outside IR35) | London

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to join a high-performing technology team on a 6-month contract, outside IR35, with 2–3 days per week on-site in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead complex, high-impact delivery initiatives in a financial services environment.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in driving delivery across a product-driven, API/Cloud-first platform, leading multiple Agile squads (mainly based in Warsaw) and working closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and third-party suppliers. Your focus will be on ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery, while leveraging emerging AI tools to accelerate and enhance the build lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead 4–5 Agile squads using a Scaled Agile/SAFe methodology, coordinating delivery across teams and dependencies.
• Develop and execute optimized delivery plans, collaborating with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and stakeholders.
• Proactively identify blockers, risks, and dependencies, troubleshooting technical issues and escalating where necessary.
• Oversee implementation readiness, service introduction, and governance, ensuring attestation requirements are met.
• Apply AI tools to improve delivery efficiency, from requirements definition and UX/UI design to testing and deployment.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, resolve conflicts, and influence outcomes to support high-priority change initiatives.
• Use Jira and Confluence to track progress, document dependencies, and communicate effectively across teams.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience leading large technology programmes, preferably in Financial Services (PRA regulated entities).
• Proven experience in API/Cloud-first platform development with a strong integration backbone.
• Expertise in Scaled Agile / SAFe methodology, managing multiple squads.
• Strong understanding of AI tools in delivery is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Warsaw.
