Principal Network & Security Architect
Contract 6 Months Hybrid – Jersey – 1 day per month required

Overview
An organisation undergoing a major enterprise infrastructure and network transformation programme is seeking an experienced Principal Network & Security Architect to provide architectural leadership across network and security domains.
The role will operate at a programme level, ensuring network solutions delivered across multiple projects and suppliers align with enterprise architecture standards, cyber security strategy, and secure-by-design / Zero Trust principles.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide programme-level leadership for network and security architecture
• Define architecture standards, guardrails and design patterns
• Review and assure supplier design artefacts (HLDs, LLDs, technical standards)
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security strategy
• Embed Zero Trust and secure-by-design principles
• Identify and manage architecture risks, dependencies and constraints
• Contribute to architecture governance and design review forums
Key Experience
• Extensive experience in enterprise network and security architecture
• Experience operating across complex multi-supplier environments
• Strong knowledge of secure infrastructure and Zero Trust architecture
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or network transformation programmes
Examples may include:
• SD-WAN deployment
• Network segmentation initiatives
• Firewall platform modernisation
• Hybrid cloud network integration
Skills & Qualifications

Essential
• Senior networking certification (e.g. CCNP / JNCIP or equivalent)
• Senior security certification (e.g. CISSP / CCSP or equivalent)

Desirable
• CCIE / JNCIE
• Cloud architecture certification (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture qualification
Contract Details
• Duration: 6 months
• Start: Target April 2026
• Working Pattern: Hybrid with some on-site presence required
• Engagement: Full-time contract
• Rate - £680 p/d Outside IR35
