Senior SailPoint Engineer (Identity Management) - Contract (Outside IR35) at Agilesource Ltd, United Kingdom, 3 Months, £Contract Rate

AgileSource are urgently looking for a Senior SailPoint Engineer for a 3 month remote contract. Due to this client, you will need to work hours in line with South Africa GMT+2

We are seeking an experienced Senior SailPoint Engineer to design, implement and support enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using the SailPoint platform.

The role will focus on identity governance, access life cycle management, role modelling, and integration of enterprise systems to deliver secure and compliant access management across the organisation.

You will work closely with security, infrastructure, application teams and business stakeholders to ensure IAM services are scalable, automated and aligned with security and regulatory requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesSailPoint Engineering & Development

• Design, implement and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ/IdentityNow solutions.

• Develop and maintain connectors, rules, workflows and custom integrations.

• Configure identity life cycle management, including joiner, mover and leaver processes.

• Implement access certification and governance processes.

Identity Governance

• Design and implement role-based access control (RBAC) models.

• Support segregation of duties (SoD) policies and compliance frameworks.

• Deliver access review campaigns and certification processes.

Integration & Automation

• Integrate SailPoint with:

  • Active Directory

  • Azure AD/Entra ID

  • LDAP directories

  • Cloud platforms

  • Enterprise applications (SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, etc.)

• Develop automation using APIs, Scripting and workflow tools.

Operational Support

• Provide L3 support for IAM services.

• Troubleshoot identity provisioning and access issues.

• Monitor system performance and improve IAM processes.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure IAM solutions align with:

  • Security policies

  • Regulatory requirements

  • Audit controls

• Support internal and external audit requests relating to access governance.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with security architecture, application owners and project teams.

• Support IAM initiatives within digital transformation or cloud migration programmes.

• Provide guidance on identity security best practice.

Required Skills & ExperienceEssential

• 5+ years IAM experience in enterprise environments.

• Strong SailPoint experience (IdentityIQ or IdentityNow).

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Identity life cycle management

  • Access certifications

  • Role modelling

  • Provisioning workflows

• Experience integrating IAM solutions with:

  • Active Directory

  • Azure AD/Entra ID

  • Enterprise applications

• Strong Scripting or development experience:

  • Java

  • BeanShell

  • PowerShell

  • REST APIs

• Strong understanding of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) concepts.

• Experience troubleshooting and supporting IAM platforms.
