IT Risk Management SME, Outside IR35, £725 per day, (mostly remote)

Contract role for an experienced IT Risk Management SME who can work at a group level with CIO engagement, and department Heads of Risk, with a consulting mindset.

You will be reviewing the current IT Risk framework and assessing what is already in place across the organisation and its market units. From this, you will shape and propose a clear group level methodology for IT Risk Management that complements existing functions such as Cyber Security, Incident Management and Problem Management, while maintaining clear ownership of technology risk oversight.

You will be updating group level IT policies, identifying where changes are required and providing a practical view of the work needed to align policies across the group.

Another core area would be to have Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and supporting metrics to track technology risk across core service management disciplines, including incident and problem management, change management, asset configuration management and related operational controls, drawing on recognised frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT or ISO.

Working closely with CIO level stakeholders and Heads of Risk across market units to align on approach, gain buy-in, and establish consistent risk visibility and reporting.

Key risk focus areas include service management risk across incident and problem processes, change management failure, capacity management, system data backup, technology resilience, user behaviour, and asset configuration and management.

This is initially 3 months outside IR35, largely remote (with ad-hoc London visits) via a technology consultancy. There will be extensions thereafter.
