SC Cleared Omnissa / Horizon VDI Engineer – Outside IR35

A SC Cleared Omnissa / Horizon VDI Engineer is required to support a secure defence client based onsite in Farnborough, delivering a full end-to-end Omnissa Horizon 8 VDI solution as part of a critical infrastructure programme.

You must hold active SC Clearance to be considered for this urgent short-term contract.

This role will focus on the design and delivery of a new VDI environment, including Low-Level Design, installation, configuration, security hardening and the creation of desktop pools.

You will play a key part in ensuring the environment is delivered to a high standard, with robust security configuration and a fully operational VDI platform ready for production use.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:

• Produce a Low-Level Design (LLD) for the Omnissa Horizon solution
• Install and configure Omnissa Horizon 8 Enterprise
• Create and configure 2 VDI desktop pools
• Complete full SSL certificate and security configuration
• Deliver an end-to-end working VDI environment ready for deployment

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Omnissa Horizon / VMware Horizon VDI
• Proven background in VDI design, build and deployment
• Strong understanding of VDI security and SSL configuration
• Active SC Clearance is essential

This is an urgent short-term contract and requires someone to start soon. They are offering a competitive day rate working Outside of IR35, and is full-time working onsite in Farnborough due to the secure nature of the project.
