Overview:

A DevOps Engineer is required to join a delivery team within a technology consultancy supporting a public sector end client. This is a hands-on role focused on building, deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure within a secure environment. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for delivering and supporting cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible to deliver consistent and reproducible environments
• Support cloud hosting environments including incident response, operational support, and troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, configuration, and service issues across OS, networking, and supporting services
• Develop automation scripts and internal tooling to improve operational efficiency
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives to enhance platform reliability

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience working in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles
• Proven hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Experience using Ansible for configuration management
• Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• Experience administering Windows Server environments
• Experience administering Linux server environments
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, networks and enterprise services
