UI/UX Designer – Flagship Trading Platform (Finance)

💰 Rate: Up to £700/day (Outside IR35)

📍 Location: London (City) – Hybrid (1 day per week onsite)

Join one of the world’s leading investment banks as a UX/UI Designer on their flagship trading platform, now rolling out across the full Capital Markets business. This role requires someone is is very strong with both UX and UI. Someone who is vastly experienced in Pixel perfect design without the need for wireframes etc.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role on a long-term programme that's shaping the future of institutional trading. With a strong design system in place and a clear strategy ahead, it's the perfect time to join and make your mark.

🎯 What You’ll Be Doing

• Craft clean, functional, and beautiful UIs using a well-established Figma component library
• Lead the redesign of legacy UIs, bringing them into a sleek, unified design system
• Enhance and evolve existing components where needed, always with scalability and performance in mind
• Aim high with your design vision, but know how to deliver pragmatically in fast-paced release cycles
• Spot UX issues before they become blockers — and raise better alternatives when you see them
• Ensure pixel-perfect delivery by owning quality control of UI implementation
• Collaborate tightly with Business Analysts, dev teams, and product owners to bring designs to life
• Be a champion for best practices, consistency, and scalable design thinking

🧠 What You Bring

• A true designer’s mindset – this role is for someone who lives and breathes UX/UI, not transitioning from BA or development paths
• Experience designing complex platforms in investment banking or trading environments
• Strong skills in Figma, plus practical proficiency with Sketch and Zeplin
• Ability to work within — and creatively stretch — a mature design system
• A balanced approach: able to create visionary designs but scale them sensibly to meet delivery goals
• A critical eye for usability, consistency, and detail, and the confidence to speak up when something doesn’t look right
• Great communication skills — you're comfortable working across UX, product, tech, and business
