S/4HANA Project Manager - Data Design

Location: Luton (ideally 3 days per week onsite, flexible)
Rate: £650 per day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6 months initial (likely extension)

We are supporting a global pharmaceutical organisation undergoing a major SAP S/4HANA transformation and are seeking an experienced Data Design Project Manager to support the UK rollout.

This role sits within the Data Competency Centre and will lead data design and migration activities across design, build, test and deployment phases, ensuring structured, predictable delivery across the UK programme.

The Role

You will:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data design streams across the S/4HANA lifecycle

• Oversee data design, migration, validation and cutover activities

• Drive planning, governance, RAID management and stakeholder reporting

• Coordinate across Enterprise Process Owners, technical teams, deployment teams and BAU SMEs

• Provide SME direction across data design and data management best practice

• Ensure delivery quality and deployment readiness

This role requires someone who can bring clarity and structure to complex programmes, manage cross-functional dependencies and confidently drive decisions within a global stakeholder landscape.

Essential Experience

• Proven SAP S/4HANA end-to-end implementation project management experience (design, build, test, deploy)

• Strong data expertise across data design, migration and governance

• Good understanding of data structures, validation cycles and cutover processes

• Experience delivering within complex, multi-country or global environments

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Pharma or healthcare sector experience preferred
