Business Analyst/Jnr Project Manager - Contract - Outside IR35 at SixteenFifty, Remote, 6 Months, £Contract Rate

My client are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst or Junior Project Manager to lead the global setup and coordination of user provisioning of the business mobile devices within Apple Business Manager (ABM) and ensure seamless automatic integration with Microsoft Intune.

This role will coordinate stakeholders across regions (IT, HR, Operations, Security), document processes, manage timelines, and oversee the successful onboarding of all users into ABM with automated enrolment and configuration via Intune.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their project management or BA career who enjoys structured delivery, systems configuration, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities for the Business analyst or Junior Project Manager

• Lead the end-to-end rollout of global user setup within Apple Business Manager on mobile devices.

• Coordinate automatic user provisioning and integration into Microsoft Intune.

• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan with milestones, dependencies, and risks.

• Track progress and report status to IT leadership and key stakeholders.

• Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and integration issues.

Business Analysis & Process Design

• Gather requirements from HR, IT, Security, and regional teams.

• Map current user onboarding processes and define future-state workflows.

• Document user provisioning standards and governance controls.

• Define role-based access and enrollment profiles within ABM and Intune.

• Support automation design for directory integration (eg, Azure AD/Entra ID sync).

Systems & Technical Coordination

• Work with IT engineers to:

  • Configure Managed Apple IDs.

  • Enable federated authentication (if applicable).

  • Ensure automatic device enrolment via ABM.

  • Configure Intune for automatic user and device assignment.

• Validate correct sync between ABM, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Intune.

• Support testing (UAT) across global regions.

• Troubleshoot provisioning or sync failures in collaboration with IT support.

Documentation & Governance

• Create clear process documentation and SOPs.

• Develop onboarding guides for regional IT teams.

• Ensure compliance with security and data governance policies.

• Maintain audit-ready records of user provisioning standards.

Key Deliverables

• Global user provisioning framework for ABM.

• Automated user sync into Microsoft Intune.

• Defined RBAC structure and enrollment profiles.

• Fully documented onboarding and offboarding process.

• Project completion report with lessons learned.

Skills & Experience Essential

• 1-3 years' experience in Business Analysis, IT coordination, or Junior Project Management.

• Experience supporting IT or systems implementation projects.

• Strong documentation and process mapping skills.

• Experience working with Microsoft 365/Azure AD (Entra ID).

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Desirable

• Experience with:

  • Apple Business Manager

  • Microsoft Intune

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM)

  • Identity and access management (IAM)

• Understanding of device life cycle management.

• Familiarity with global rollouts across multiple regions.

• Project management certification (PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM, etc.) is a plus.
