IT Build/Warehouse Engineer (SC Cleared) at Skillsbay, London, 6 Months, £Contract Rate

Contract Duration: 6-12 months Outside IR35

Work Location: London (5 days on-site)

Role Purpose

The IT Build/Warehouse Engineer will support the preparation, asset management, and logistics of IT equipment in a secure environment. This role combines technical expertise in device builds with operational experience in IT warehouse activities. A proactive and positive approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Device Build Preparation:
  • Configure devices using technologies such as Workspace ONE (WS1), Autopilot, and SCCM.
  • Leverage Workspace ONE (WS1) expertise where applicable to enhance efficiency.
• Asset Management:
  • Utilize ServiceNow for tracking and managing IT assets, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and updates within ServiceNow.
• Warehouse Operations:
  • Manage IT equipment logistics, including receiving, organizing, and delivering hardware.
  • Build and prepare devices for deployment in accordance with project timelines and standards.
• Customer Interaction:
  • Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure smooth handover of devices.
  • Foster positive working relationships with stakeholders to facilitate efficient operations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Technical Expertise:
  • Hands-on experience with WS1, Autopilot, and SCCM for device builds.
  • Familiarity with Workspace ONE (WS1) is a significant advantage.
• Asset Management: Experience using ServiceNow for IT asset tracking and management.
• Warehouse Experience:
  • Practical knowledge of IT warehouse operations, including logistics and deliveries.
• Interpersonal Skills:
  • A positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
