IBM PowerVS Consultant (IBMi / AIX) – Contract – Outside IR35

An established IT services organisation and IBM Partner is supporting a new client initiative and is seeking an experienced IBM PowerVS Consultant to join an upcoming project.

The engagement will focus on IBM Power Virtual Server (PowerVS) within IBM’s Power Cloud environment, requiring strong expertise in either IBMi or AIX systems.

IBM PowerVS Consultant (IBMi / AIX) – Contract – Outside IR35 Role Responsibilities

• Implementation and administration of IBM PowerVS environments
• Support and optimisation of IBMi and/or AIX workloads
• Migration, deployment, and configuration within IBM Power Cloud
• Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform support
• Collaboration with client stakeholders and technical teams

IBM PowerVS Consultant (IBMi / AIX) – Details

• Initial 3-month contract
• Strong potential for extension based on project scope
• Outside IR35
• Immediate start preferred

Location

• Remote working
• Occasional onsite travel as required

Ideal Candidate

• Demonstrable experience delivering IBM PowerVS solutions
• Strong IBMi and/or AIX administration background
• Experience within enterprise IBM Power environments
• Able to start at short notice
