Contract Front End Drupal Developer
Outside IR35 | Up to £500 per day | 6 Months | Fully Remote | Likely Extension
We’re currently partnering with a large, international education group to secure a Contract Front End Drupal Developer to support a portfolio of high-traffic digital platforms used globally.
You’ll be joining an established digital and IT function, working within a cross-functional squad led by a Product Owner. The team delivers continuous improvements across multiple Drupal platforms within a fortnightly sprint cycle.
This is a hands-on role focused on modern front-end architecture, reusable component development, and scalable theming practices across a complex, multi-brand environment.
You’ll collaborate with Marketing, Sales (B2C & B2B), Digital, IT and wider business stakeholders to deliver impactful digital products used by thousands of users globally.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver front-end enhancements across Drupal sites within an agile sprint framework
- Build reusable Drupal Paragraph components to enable scalable content authoring
- Translate Figma designs into clean, maintainable Twig and SCSS implementations
- Apply Drupal render array standards and Twig best practice
- Structure SCSS using scalable architecture principles
- Ensure performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
- Document architectural decisions to support long-term maintainability
Essential Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Drupal (10/11 preferred)
- Advanced HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience working with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
- Solid understanding of responsive and mobile-first development
- Experience with SCSS/Sass or modern styling approaches
- REST APIs and JSON integration
- Git and collaborative development workflows
Desirable
- TypeScript
- WCAG accessibility standards
- Performance optimisation
- Build tools (Vite, Webpack, etc.)
- CMS-driven or headless architecture exposure
- Basic SEO knowledge
