Contract Front End Drupal Developer

Outside IR35 | Up to £500 per day | 6 Months | Fully Remote | Likely Extension


We’re currently partnering with a large, international education group to secure a Contract Front End Drupal Developer to support a portfolio of high-traffic digital platforms used globally.


You’ll be joining an established digital and IT function, working within a cross-functional squad led by a Product Owner. The team delivers continuous improvements across multiple Drupal platforms within a fortnightly sprint cycle.


This is a hands-on role focused on modern front-end architecture, reusable component development, and scalable theming practices across a complex, multi-brand environment.

You’ll collaborate with Marketing, Sales (B2C & B2B), Digital, IT and wider business stakeholders to deliver impactful digital products used by thousands of users globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver front-end enhancements across Drupal sites within an agile sprint framework
  • Build reusable Drupal Paragraph components to enable scalable content authoring
  • Translate Figma designs into clean, maintainable Twig and SCSS implementations
  • Apply Drupal render array standards and Twig best practice
  • Structure SCSS using scalable architecture principles
  • Ensure performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Document architectural decisions to support long-term maintainability


Essential Experience

  • Strong commercial experience with Drupal (10/11 preferred)
  • Advanced HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience working with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Solid understanding of responsive and mobile-first development
  • Experience with SCSS/Sass or modern styling approaches
  • REST APIs and JSON integration
  • Git and collaborative development workflows


Desirable

  • TypeScript
  • WCAG accessibility standards
  • Performance optimisation
  • Build tools (Vite, Webpack, etc.)
  • CMS-driven or headless architecture exposure
  • Basic SEO knowledge

  • Detail-oriented and proactive
  • Self-sufficient in a remote-first environment


Fully remote (UK-based candidates may be invited to occasional London meetups)
