Senior C# Risk Developer - Front Office | OUTSIDE IR35. Upto £750 a day. Remote

Location: London (1 day per week in the office)

Join a high-performing Front Office team building out next-generation risk and P&L capabilities for a major investment bank. This is a hands on senior engineering role where you'll be trusted to shape core components of a fast, resilient, and business critical risk platform used daily by traders and quants.

Technical

• Expert in C# Server Side development of services, APIs, tools
• Very strong multi-threading experience. Async/parallell programming
• Expert in application architecture
• Ideally experience with AWS, using AWS APIs for services like EC2, S3 etc. (Azure experience would be a plus)
• Strong DB skills (SQL Server), writing efficient SQL, fine tuning performance, DB design.
• Tooling experience - Git, GitHub Enterprise, Powershell, ODATA, TeamCity

Non-technical

• Knowledge of finance industry and common concepts
• Must have worked on a Risk management systems, understanding of pnl, Var, greeks etc.
• Good communication, eager to engage and collaborate with team members, BAs and Support teams
• Interest in understanding the business problems being addressed when developing a solution
• Able to provide constructive feedback on others' code, eg in a pull request review
• Provide second line support for production issues
• Communicate with the business about requirements, production incidents, etc
• Exposure to risk systems, risk reporting, or P&L concepts
