Hands-on Solution Architect - AWS, Python & React (Fully Remote, Outside IR35) at Strike IT Services, Fully Remote, 3 Months, £Contract Rate

We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to design and help deliver a modern, cloud-native eCommerce platform. This role requires strong practical experience across AWS cloud infrastructure, Python-based API backends, and React Front End architecture.

This is a delivery-focused role, not a large-team management or enterprise governance position.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across AWS, Python API Back End, React Front End, and integration layers
• Design and guide development of cloud-native Back End services (Python, REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices)
• Lead Front End architecture decisions using React, focusing on performance, SEO and API-driven design
• Architect scalable and secure AWS infrastructure including hosting, networking, CI/CD, and observability
• Design and orchestrate API integrations with third-party systems and enterprise platforms
• Define data flows and reporting pipelines using cloud-native and analytics platforms
• Ensure solutions meet best practice for security, performance, and maintainability

Experience:

• Proven experience as a hands-on Solution Architect on modern digital or eCommerce platforms
• Strong Back End development and architecture using Python and API-driven services
• Strong Front End architecture experience with React (Next.js desirable)
• Deep practical experience with AWS cloud-native services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudFront, VPC, IAM, CI/CD)
• Experience designing microservices and event-driven architectures
• Solid knowledge of security, performance optimisation and observability
• Experience integrating with third-party platforms via APIs and Middleware
