Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst

FX e-Trading | Outside IR35 | London (Hybrid)

Rates: £750-900 p/d (Outside IR35) possibility for some flexibility for the right candidate

We’re recruiting for a Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst to join a major investment banking e-trading programme, focused on the large-scale expansion of FX e-Trading platforms.

This is a long-term, multi-year transformation. The bank is making a significant strategic investment in its electronic trading capability, with strong sponsorship, real budgets, and multiple workstreams running in parallel.

The Role

You’ll sit at the centre of delivery, combining hands-on PM and BA responsibilities in a technically complex FX environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning delivery across project management and business analysis
• Acting as the UK technical point of contact for the programme
• Coordinating closely with a third-party vendor and engineering teams
• Managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones
• Gathering and translating business requirements into actionable technical work
• Being actively involved in testing, UAT, defect management, and releases
• Driving issues to resolution — not just reporting them

This role suits someone who is comfortable close to the platform, understands FX e-trading workflows, and can operate independently in a fast-moving delivery environment.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical PM, BA, or hybrid PM/BA in financial services
• Strong FX markets and FX e-trading platform experience (essential)
• Experience working with vendors and distributed engineering teams
• Solid understanding of systems delivery, testing, and UAT
• Confident communicator with senior stakeholders across business and technology

Contract Details

• Outside IR35
• Contract or contract-to-permanent
• 1–2 days per week onsite in the City of London
