Network Engineer - Network & Security Infrastructure

Role Overview

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, modifying, and implementing network and security configurations across existing and new infrastructure. The role focuses on hands-on configuration, testing, and deployment of Fortinet and Cisco-based network environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and validate configurations for:
    • Fortinet SD-WAN solutions
    • Fortinet Firewalls
    • Cisco Nexus Switches
    • Cisco LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure
  • Modify and optimize configurations on existing network equipment.
  • Prepare and implement configurations for new network hardware.
  • Load configurations onto network devices and perform validation testing.
  • Support network changes, cutovers, and migrations.
  • Implement general routing and switching configurations.
  • Design and apply Firewall and network security policies.
  • Troubleshoot configuration-related issues during and after implementation.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Support project timelines and work closely with the Project Manager.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Fortinet SD-WAN and Fortinet Firewalls
    • Cisco Nexus platforms
    • Cisco LAN and Wi-Fi networks
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols.
  • Experience in Firewall and security design.
  • Proven ability to write, load, and validate network configurations.
  • Experience working on live production networks.
